I Write To Keep From Going Insane…

Hello everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve written, and for those of you who chech this out on a normal basis… I’m sorry. A lot has happened lately, especially in the past two weeks.  A quick preview… graduation, parties, baptisms, finals and party planning…

Lets start with finals since they came first. I have never had finals that I was so worried about.  I wasn’t so worried because I didn’t really know the material, I was more worried because I knew it was the end, my final attempt before I graduate. I knew one final was going to be aweful, and it was, but all in all it didn’t turn out so bad…

Graduation! So I graduated officially on May 17th at 8 and 10. Yes, we had two different graduations. The first one was the school wide graduation, in the sun, for two hours… It was the long one that all the speakers were at and they seemed to go on forever. I hated being there when I was sitting in the sun, but looking back at it, I’m actually glad I went.  The second I have to say was a little bit worse, believe it or not. They had us in this tent type thing that held in the moisture and made it extremely humid… I could have delt with that, but then the smell of all the sweating people around us was aweful… Anyway, I’m glad I went, though I still don’t feel like I graduated because I am heading straight into the next program.

I had two “parties” in the past week… Ok, really just one… My grad party. The second was a gathering of some friends at D&B. Both were amazingly fun! I love hanging out with close friends in both types of situations, but I feel like I haven’t had mch time to see them with my busy schedule. I’m sorry guys, hopefully it will get better now! So, D&B… Awesome! Haven’t had a day out with my friends like that in over a year! I mean, we hang out when we have a chance, but usually we end up talking about school or something related to either school or work. As for the party, those of you who didn’t make it down, you missed a great time! I got to see a couple of friends that I haven’t seen in over six months. I can’t believe how much I missed them, and had no idea until I saw them… I love you guys!

Ok, so moving on… J and I shot a baptism Sunday the 18th. It was a lot of fun! The baptism was for triplets and for their older sister, who happens to be my brother’s girlfriend. I love her too! They all were so awesome! Ari was beautiful in her white dress, and the babies were so cute in their little white outfits.  All in all, I would do it again in a heatbeat. Still working on the editing though… we took about 600 photos and I’m over half finished… I’m working through them.

I’m also house sitting for one of my advisors, with her three totally cute dogs. On Saturday night, J and I got to see friends who came down from Northern California. We love you guys! Then on Sunday I went to a BBQ with a few friends… Had an awesome time! yo yo yiggity yo girls! Crazy busy!

Finally, party planning. I was extremely lucky to have my graduation party with a close friend who ended up doing a lot of the party planning. Thanks so much Sarah! I love you girl! But now I am trying to help plan my brothers party. His is 5 hours long and in my backyard, which is still under construction. I have to make the playlist, which shouldn’t be too bad, right? Well, here’s the catch… There will be people here from ages 10-70… I have to make a playlist that will be long enough, include enough music that my brother likes, and somehow mix in music that will be apealing to my grandparents and the adults that will be there. Then, I have to make sure that the lyrics are appropriate and figure out the right order to make the songs transition right…. It will be some work… But I’m up for the challenge.

So… That is the combo of the last two weeks… Crazy busy, but totally worth the loss of sleep! Until next time…
